Chicks are really cute. Have you ever seen a chick hatch from an egg? Have you ever seen a chick and get to hold it? If you did just answer. I will be ready.

Edit - no notion the kid was so young, sorry!

Yes, I helped raise chickens and ducklings when I was young. I had a pet chick named Speedy, cuz he was.

We also had baby pigs who had to be raised in the heated part of the barn and they were very cute, they were pink and they were named Hansel and Gretel.

But baby horses are the sweetest. I have mini horses and they are so tiny when they are born, you can cradle them in your arms.

Hehe. Not a farmer but we had about 50-60 chickens and 2 roosters when I was a little kid.
My dad would sell the eggs to the healthfood store in town on the way to work each morning...

My sister absolutely would not eat chicken unless she saw it in the package from the store first cause they sorta became pets. Dad was sneeky. Cleaned and kept the styrofoam tray and lable and would clean a chicken, put it on the tray and wrap it up with seran wrap and show it to her before cooking it.

Hey Chrisisall's Son, we saw your kewl Serenity made of Legos! My boy is 11 and he still loves his Legos. He's been working on making a Vera out of Legos.

We have pet chickens. We have 8 banty hens. They all have names. Last year I bought some turkey eggs and let my hens set them. Only two hatched, but we got to watch, and it was so great. The baby turkeys grew so fast that before long they were taller than the hen that was taking care of them. She would try to cover them with her wings, and they would stick their heads up through her feathers, so she looked like a three-headed chicken. They were so cute!

We want to order more chicks this spring.

Chicks are adorable, but I have to agree with Seryn and say that ducklings and goslings are much cuter.
This is a fun thread! Thanks for starting it. Silly boys who think this thread was about something else. Geez!

Wacky fun!

Yes little sonisall. My grandmother had a farm pigs and the like, but after a while she just kept the chickens and we'd be there to help pick the eggs, watch them hatch, then sort them out and take them into town to sell.

I remember how I loved to be the one to hold onto the box petting all these sweet little yellow chicks and smiling ear to ear, hearing them all chirp. Sometimes I'd hold one up to my face, their feathers were ever so soft.

You brought a memory and a smile, and for that I thank you. Chris be proud of that boy. Going places he is.

All those chicks, I hated to let them go. *sigh*

If I'm a bitch, then life just got interesting

Holy crap, that is so wrong. So very wrong. And yet look, my face is laughing. I believe the hampsters will rise up and revolt.

To the fluffier side to this thread, yes baby chicks are great, and so are goslings. But I am all about the puppies. Puppies for everyone!

My Snake ussually likes to eat Baby Rats, he used to eat Mice, but got too fat, well once he used to eat pinkies, which are infant mice, when they have no fur and are blind. He's outgrown them now, Baby Rats are larger than adult mice, so if I tried to feed him a pinky he'd probably bite me on principle.

"Hey man, what the hell you feeding me this for? You putting me on a diet, cause ya don't want to! Now feed me seymour!"

I'll try him on Chicks, thanks Chris's son *hopes he hasn't warped Chris son*

I believe fluffy bunnies were mentioned, if he gets any bigger I'll try him on those.

*Looks at the other posters*
What? What are you all looking at me like that for?

That is pretty mean to say to a seven year old. That really hurt my feelings because snakes are cool but it still hurts my feelings because you did not say anything about the answer of chicks are cute.

Not on topic, I guess he means to say. But don't worry, Citizen, he'll be okay ...
