Firefly selling out for christmas

Hey, I just wanted to pass on the good news. I was out shopping for the firefly DVD box set the other day to give to a cousin for christmas. I had to go to about 7 shops and the story was all the same. As soon as they get some in, they go quickly. Whenever I asked the sales assistants they all said that they were unable to order enough in from Fox as every other store was trying to reorder to, so they were effectively "rationed". I did eventually find it and had to pay the full price (when I bought my copy before the movie came out it was heavily discounted). So at least in my city (Brisbane, Australia), it is still selling nicely thankyou very much.

Just wanted to share, thought it would make some of you happy to know

I'm happy to say that I see Fry's and Target and Best Buy and everyone, it seems, has lots of Firefly in stock for the holidays!! More than 10 copies in some locations! :D

Our Target now is carrying Firefly (they weren't a month ago), and last time I was at Best Buy, a lady was stocking Firefly on the shelves and there was a cart behind her with at least 10 more copies! I was pretty darn excited.

One big place I haven't seen it at yet, though - Walmart! I wonder if that is just local, and, if not, how we could go about convincing Walmart to carry it.

Walmart sucks for media. They only seem to carry "lowest common denominator" media. If it's not brand new, mass-marketed crap that's garanteeed to sell 500 copies per store, best go elsewhere. Yesterday Best Buy had 11 copies.

At my best buy they had like 3 Fireflys on the bottom shelf...so naturally i picked em up...put one at my eye level (im tall) and one on the shelf below....then i put the last right next to the brand spanking new Serenity. Then i notticed they had dozens of copies of Serenity just sittin on a shelf...like unstocked. So i decided to "help" em out and covered a bunch of the new popular movies...lol....i think i got a few sold before they cleaned it up.

I was really mad about this one lady who picked it up...looked at it...then put it down and thumbed through the rest (wtf?!) and then she went over and picked up "Must Love Dogs" .......*sigh*
