America loves a winner!

I get to watch small portions of Angel on TNT in the mornings, before I head off to work. For some reason, I had a hankerin' to watch 'You're Welcome" again. Luckily I have the entire DVD set of season 5. I've not watched it in a while, and was glad I took the time to check it out again. I had forgotten how good an episode it was. I liked how they brought Cordy back for one final ep, and I liked especially how they made hommage to Doyle. Good stuff.

Then I watched 'Smile Time '.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

Always had a soft spot for "The Girl in Question" but as a season it's my least favourite. There are some solid episodes though.

I think all of Angel's season 5 holds up pretty well...
I wasn't that crazy about the wrestlers or the submarine episode, but pretty much every other episode was a winner to me.

Of course I loved seeing Loren featured, and Harmony...
and I really loved when Fred turned into Illyria
(I thought Illyria was really something special!)

And at the end when Gunn visited Ann, that touched me so much, I'm glad they included Ann in the finale.
