i was watching a series 5 and spent - or wasted - time watching 'unleashed'- 40 or so minutes i won't get back.It got me thinking I dont see alot of worst angel eps lists not as much as buffy. So waht are peoples worst episodes.

I vote for Unleashed. It reminds me how wrong the single episode concept was for series 5 .

Really? I did not think that episode was all that bad. Not really a GREAT episode, but not the worst. I am going to take one from each season. My votes go to:

Season 1: Eternity Season 2: Happy Anniversary Season 3: That Old Gang of Mine Season 4: Peace Out Season 5: Damage

My 2 cents. Not worth much.

I really enjoyed Unleashed, even if it did feel a little X-Filesy. I far prefer the single episode style with subtle arc to the overblown, underexplained S4 story.

Worst eps:

S1: She S2: Guise Will Be Guise (though I don't hate it) S3: That Old Game Of Mine S4: Slouching Towards Bethlehem S5: The Girl In Question

You didn't like Damage, EST?? It has the awesome Angel/Spike conversation at the end, even if you don't like the rest of it. Surely Harm's Way, TGIQ or Why We Fight deserve the 'worst ep' title more?

I limited myself to only one episode per season but I have to agree with you that "She" and "Guise Will Be Guise" are not very good episodes.

"The Girl in Question" was half good. I though the Wes-Illyria/Fred story line was good but the Angel-Spike-Buffy-Immortal story line was..... ugh, except for the part where Angel and Spike are beating up the guys in the dance club.

I loved "Why We Fight". It is one of my favorite episodes. I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

If you don't introduce Nina, who's going to take the stuffing out of Angel in Smile Time?

Oh, and Damage isn't just the quintessential episode of Angel, but of the entire Whedonverse. Got to love a script that ends Once upon a time. Let's hear it for a Dana spin-off!

Eternity?! you are aware this is about WORST episodes right?

season by season i would say Season 1:She Season 2:The Shroud of Rahmon Season 5:That Old Gang of Mine Season 4:Slouching Toward Bethlehem Season 5:Unleashed

I agree with seaso 3 but all the others are some of the best of there relative seasons ...I mean Damage? I'm no Spike lover but this has great Spike scenes

So did I. She is from S1 and GWBG is from S2.

"she" is awful (although the angel/wesley dance scene is wonderful!) but i love "guise will be guise"! wesley is absolutely hilarious through the whole episode.

S1: "She" - Very 'blah' storyline, and Bai Ling's horrendous accent makes her almost impossible to watch.

S2: "Blood Money" - Wolfram & Hart is a gigantic, multinational, multidimensional law firm, and they're gonna have two of their best lawyers spending days setting up a scheme to steal a million bucks? Isn't that pocket change to them? (I did like Boone, tho, and bringing Annie back was great.)

S3: "Provider" - Not a bad episode, but an incredibly average one in the middle of a season of greats.

S4: "Shiny Happy People" - Edges out "She" for my pick as worst episode ever. Have a Mountain Dew handy as you're watching it, or be prepared to doze off.

S5: "Harm's Way" - Harmony is great in small to moderate doses. This one just had way too much.

I think the point was that they were committing evil for evil's sake.

Since you did say episode, and not theme, I'll not even bring up the whole Cordy in Pylea nonsense. I suppose there can be more than 1 entry into the throw away episode catagory, but for my $$ , 'Blind Date' gets my vote. Uncompelling, and even a bit silly.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

You don't think Lindsey's struggle to decide between good and evil is compelling? Wow. And what was silly about it?

The Lindsey subplot was more interesting and could have been done any nubmer of ways, but I just felt the villian and the premise to be left wanting. Lindsey's struggle is about the only redeeming part of the episode.

Hey, we're dealing w/ Joss here, so nothing is totally a waste.
