California Browncoats Comic-con booth volunteering
CALIFORNIABROWNCOATS
Hi guys! I know we don't come around here too much, so pardon our intrusion. I’m here today on behalf of the California Browncoats. As some of you may know, every year at Comic-con we run a booth that sells merchandise and we raise money for charity thru exclusive items and donations. This year’s charity is an organization called the Waterkeeper Alliance. These guys are not the bad Alliance, they are the good guys helping protect our waterways around the globe.

So why am I here? Well, to run the booth we need help from browncoats such as you. So, if you are coming to Comic-con this year and might have some time to lend a hand at the booth, please join our volunteer yahoo group (http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/CABCVolunteers) to learn more. You can also email me at volunteer@californiabrowncoats.org if you have any questions and I will also periodically check this website.

Now, to answer the question you may have already. No, unfortunately we can’t provide you a pass into the con. While we would love to give you a pass or even be able to sell you a pass, we’re one tiny corner of the con and we don’t have those powers. However, for those that don’t know, Comic-con is officially releasing returned passes by putting them up on ebay in batches every day. The ebay seller name is sdcomic-con and lately they have been putting passes up at 7pm PST. If you follow them on twitter (@comic_con) they will announce it as well. They are putting them up on ebay as “buy now” in their original price (I believe, don’t quote me!). Be careful though, there are other sellers that pretend like they are official but only sdcomic-con is. (can verify on @comic_con twitter).

Also, a request before I go. If you can spread this to other boards you may regularly go to and let your friends know who are going to the Con about the call for volunteers, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for time and keep flyin’!

Note: Their name on Twitter is Comic_Con, not Comic-Con.
