Shooting at VA Tech...

:( Virginia Tech just had a shooting...they haven't released names yet, but 33 killed on top of about that many injured is the latest count...it's horrible. The man (they haven't released anything about him yet, but it's rumored that he was a student) is reported dead now...he shot someone in a freshman dorm room then went across campus into an academic building and shot more people...he actually chained the doors shut at the academic building so no one could get out. He had two guns and plenty of ammo and it's reported that he had a determined look on his face, as if nothing would stop him...poor people...there are some people at my school (since I'm in VA) that know people at the college, but luckily they're all fine. I don't get how he got all the way across campus without anyone catching him...he had a gun and was walking out of the dorm! :(

Amen to that, EngineAngel...amen to that.

Really makes one think about what drives a person to commit such atrocities against their fellow human beings. Even now, two days after the shootings, the information known about the shooter and the sequence of events really doesn't answer the big questions of "Why?" and "How (could someone do this)?"
