Is is just me of is Mal alot alike Spike, for those who don't know Spike is the best charecter on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.They are both the bad guy who is always ready for a good brawl. Although Mal is not evil he does always seem to throw in a good punch line before he actually throws the punch,like Spike. Plus they seem to fall for the girls they can't have(Buffy and Inaura). Both of them seem to be a bit cockey when the are winning or think they are winning a fight. The resemblence show it's self more when you are watching Firefly, it's kind of hard to explain.

I have to agree with Cub- I personally think Jayne and Spike are similar, although Spike has a somewhat better grasp of the english language.

If anything Mal and Angel are similar- quiet, loyal, heroic.

I always thought Jayne was more like Spike - a fringe character who's not really the show's "hero" or even necessarily a good guy. Jayne and Spike also share a similar style of comedic appeal.

In any case, I thought Faith was just as fascinating a character as Spike. But they were both a lot of fun - great actors, well-written characters, and lots of depth.
