Don't Blame Me, I Voted for Niska.
Wednesday, November 3, 2004

*sigh* The day after. No new Alliance leader yet. Looks like it's going to go to the gorram goofball who got us in all this trouble in the first place! Pardon me while I roll my eyes.

I've got the Cortex News Network on in the background. Purplebellies calling for a concession, the other guy not giving it yet. Good for 'im! Let them purples sit and sweat a little. Mathematical impossibilities or not, isn't democracy (at least when it works well) supposed to have every vote count? I mean, I don't care if you're in a backwater alley on Whitefall or in the capital of Londinium, every last vote should count!

Perhaps if things don't go our way, I'll start selling "Don't Blame Me, I Voted for Niska" stickers at my CafePress storefront.

Until next time, surly viewers....

Bolt, I'm 28 and I agree that socialism ignores human nature. That's why it looks so great on paper, but sucks in practice. In fact, I'm teaching 1984 to my sophomores right now and we're dealing with many of the same issues we've been talking about on the boards. Let me also remind everyone that UO's blogs are partial fictions based on real-world observations. My blog was also posted before Kerry conceded and the stickers are available and are meant simply to poke fun at real-world events using the Firefly 'verse.

I certainly could do that. Yeah, I'm still not convinced we're on the wrong side either...but it's a very apt saying today.

I'm quite bitter about the whole thing. Ah well, may have been the loosing side, still not convinced it was the wrong one :)

Ps: I think you should turn the stickers into a t-shirt, I'd wear it.
