Keeping in Contact

For those of you who haven't realized how old I am or anything to that effect, I'm 18 and I'm just getting ready to graduate High School. People always say your reputation in High School won't matter after you graduate anymore and that you'll most likely only stay in contact with one or two of your closest friends.

To be honest, I'm a mite scared of leaving and ending up having no one contact me after it's all over with. I know I'll still be in contact with a few since I see them outside of school all the time... it's just that I feel close with a lot of people and it's happened before; where I lose contact and all of a sudden when we see each other we just ignore each other's presence. It's a heart-wrenching thing to think about.

My efforts to keep in contact with people won't be for nothing, however. I'm going to try my best and then hopefully they'll try too. It's not all too shabby of a plan, now is it?

Facebook is great for that.

When you see your old friends again, like when you come home over Christmas, you don't have to be awkward, just start a conversation to catch up on what you've been doing--"omg ____, I haven't seen you in ages! so how was your first term of university?" Or something like that

University is great. It seems like everyone's more relaxed, and everyone's interested in the courses they're doing. You're going to have fun.

'Seems like a sound plan to me!

When I graduated two years ago I assumed that me and my buds would stay in contact and pretty much let things take care of themselves. I was wrong, and ended up losing touch with everyone.

Good friends can be hard to come by, so keep'em close to ya ^_^!

You know, I'll still be in contact with you. I hope you know that, considering I'm your good friend and all. People love you Brit so I don't really think you got to worry too much. Everyone will be like, "I want to talk to Brit and hang out with her" and then you'll be getting 896755375658758 calls a day and 4657378 of those calls will be from me. Hehe, love you chica.
